Barbara Greco Brady Biography

is a co-founder, President of MVP, and their Resident Choreographer. A professional dancer who, also, holds a BA in Health and Physical Education, she has performed with the NJ Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and the NJ State Opera. Barbara has been on replacement for the Broadway shows Cats and Jerome Robbins' Broadway. She has performed and choreographed for the Cumberland County Playhouse in TN and has choreographed in NJ for various theatre companies and schools including Celebration Singers, Kean Dance Theatre, Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Co., the NJ ACT Awards, LHS, Franklin HS, and Roselle Catholic. She is listed in Who's Who in Entertainment, received a Medallion from Gov. Whitman for promoting culture in the State of NJ, and sits on the Union County Cultural & Heritage Advisory Board. For MVP, Barbara is most proud of her Direction and Choreography for Joseph…, which was nominate for 7 outstanding awards by RECT including Best Direction, Best Choreography, and Best Production and 1995's A Chorus Line. Her directing and choreography has consistently won her Critical Acclaim, awards of "Excellence," and nominations of "Outstanding." From RECT, ACT, and the Linden Leader newspaper. Her choreography for LHS' Damn Yankees has recently been nominated by the Papermill Playhouse for a "Best Choreography" award.
In performance, her favorite roles include "Adelaide" in Guys and Dolls, "Lola" in Damn Yankees, "Jeanie" in Hair, "Mary" in Vanities, "Sheila" in A Chorus Line, and the title role in Gypsy. She will soon appear on the SMSTC stage in the role of "Gloria Thorpe" in Damn Yankees. Barbara is a Ballet teacher at the NJ School of Ballet, and a teacher of Phys. Ed. and Musical Theatre Dance at Linden HS. She sincerely enjoys her students and her colleagues.
