“Twentieth Century” at Center Players (Freehold)

“Twentieth Century”

Bankrupt, with his career on a downslide, egomaniacal Broadway director Oscar Jaffe boards the Twentieth Century Limited and encounters his former discovery and ex-chorus girl Lily Garland, now a temper-mental Hollywood star on the train between NY and Chicago. He pulls out all the stops in persuading her to return to Broadway in his upcoming show.

This Ken Ludwig fast-paced comedy is adapted from the 1934 motion picture of the same name starring John Barrymore and Carole Lombard.
