It's episode 24 of the Theatrecast. In this week's news we preview the Tony Awards, discuss a new cd of Sunday In The Park with George, and anticipate the film version of Hairspray. I also rant about Harry Connick Jr.’s, impromtu patter. As usual, we'll review the week in theatre history and check on upcoming events on New Jersey stages. The latter is information provided us by our good friends at NJTheater.com.. And we'll check in at my theatre, the Country Gate Playhouse, where we continue rehearsals for our next production, Footloose, which will run July 22, 29, and August 5, at 8:00 pm, as well as, August 6, at 2:00 pm. We'll also review details of our Youth Acting Summer Workshops. I’ll also talk about an upcoming beneit concert at our theatre by noted American soprano Amy Shoremount-Obra.
