An aging black teacher and his prized pupil find themselves at odds in their desire to bring about racial justice in South Africa in 198 5, under apartheid. The young student's call is for revolution and armed struggle while his mentor and surrogate father advocates words and reason for freedom, Caught in the crossfire is the liberal white girl whose eyes are opened to both African consciousness and the price of justice.
