“Cabaret” at Brook Arts Center Community Players

“Cabaret”
Music by John Kander
Lyrics by Fred Ebb
Book by Joe Masteroff

The hit musical classic featuring a legendary score by John Kander and Fred Ebb. Set in Berlin at the beginning of the rise of the Third Reich, Cabaret follows the story of Sally Bowles, a wild-hearted English cabaret performer, and her torrid love affair with American writer Clifford Bradshaw. Much of the story unfolds through song and dance in the divinely decadent Kit Kat Club. As thought provoking as it is entertaining, Cabaret offers a penetrating gaze at a troubled era. Musical numbers include “Willkommen”, “Cabaret”, “Don't Tell Mama” and “Two Ladies.” .
