Guest Artist is a funny and poignant story about a young man coming face to face with his hero and explores the tangled relationship between the dreams of youth and the wisdom of age. When world-renowned playwright Joseph Harris arrives in the middle of the night at the Steubenville, Ohio bus station, he must be convinced by young Kenneth Waters, an apprentice at the Dean Martin Repertory Theater for which Harris is supposed to have written a new play, why he should not get on the next bus out of town.
