“The Advocate” at 12 Miles West Theatre Company

“The Advocate”
by Bill Mesce, Jr

It’s August, 1943, three American planes —P47 Thunderbolts— advance toward the coast of England. One plane is flying at an odd angle, trailing smoke. The other planes follow. What seems to be a rescue attempt ends in a scene of horror as one of the follow planes fires on the crippled plane. The downed pilot drowns in the English Channel. Accident or murder? The Judge Advocates’ Office calls on U.S. military lawyer Harry Voss to handle the investigation.
