a North Carolina Hillbilly, lost the part of Huckleberry Finn in the 1938 movie Tom Sawyer, by growing 2½" in two months. After Navy service in WWII, he rose from Messenger to Director with CBS TV in NYC. He won an Emmy Nomination as Director of The Cradle Will Rock with John Houseman and Patti Lupone. Active in Preservation, he was a founding member and three-term President of Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts. While Mayor of Cape May, he led the City in acquiring the Physick Estate. In 1976, he accepted the City's designation as a National Historic Landmark. This is his first acting appearance since a music video What Might Have Been and hosting the Victorian Cape May video in the 1990s.
