Rose Caruso Biography

plays include Shamanism in New Jersey, Tales of an Urban Burb, The Little Playwright, The First Light Home, Suffering Heart Salon and Deep Cleaning. Commissioned by George Street Playhouse to write a touring musical for schools throughout New Jersey, Ms. Caruso is also the recipient of an Artist's Fellowship from New York Foundation of the Arts and a number of awards, including Samuel French's Off Off Broadway original short play festival and the Writer's Digest First Place Award. Ms. Caruso is a member of 12 Miles West Theatre Company, The Dramatists Guild and The Writers Guild of America/ East. She has published two volumes of poetry, Braving Traffic and Moving Through Time and lives in New Jersey with her husband Alan Myers and their 11 year old daughter Elena.
