Jane Cox Biography

Recent designs include: Thief River (Guthrie) directed by Ethan McSweeny; Lessness (National Theatre, London); Loot (McCarter); Hearts and Arms and the Man (Long Wharf); True Love (Zipper); Eli’s Coming (Vineyard); Enter the Night, Lesson Before Dying, Urban Zulu Mambo (Signature); In the Blood (NYSF/Public); House, Joe by Richard Maxwell; Charlotte (Prince Music Theatre); Equivalents (Project Theatre, Dublin). Dance lighting includes collaborations with Doug Varone (Jacob’s Pillow, Joyce) and David Dorfman (MassMoca, B.A.M.). Jane is resident lighting designer for the O’Neill Playwrights Conference, and received her MFA from NYU. She is a recipient of the 2001-02 TCG/NEA Career Development Grant.
