Besides being produced in various theaters, many of his full length and one-act plays have placed in national writing competitions. In 1992, he was awarded a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, in recognition of playwriting for Ends, which was a finalist in the 1996 Delaware Theatre Company Competition. He is presently the elected Secretary of the Chicago Alliance for Playwrights. His full-length works include On To Infinity, a finalist in the South Carolina Playwrights Festival and a semi-finalist in the Jewel Box Playwriting Competition. By the Rivers of Babylon, which received a grant from the Pilgrim Project (NY), will be produced this summer at Chicago's Playwright Center. He is pleased to acknowledge Chicago's Victory Gardens Theatre for its support of playwrights.
