Melanie Maher Biography

Thrilled to be performing with the WCRC for the third time on Kelsey’s stage, Melanie previously starred here as Sugar Kane in Some Like It Hot - The Musical and as the Nightengale in Once Upon A Mattress.  She is a Senior Voice Education Major at the College of New Jersey, where Melanie has enjoyed appearing in their opera productions of Die Fledermaus, Suor Angelica (Lay Sister) and The Marriage of Figaro (Barbarina).  Mel’s favorite roles to date are Laurey in Oklahoma !, Rapunzel in Into The Woods and Dainty June in Gypsy.
