Jean Combs Biography

Delighted to be performing in The Music Man with the WCRC, Jean has extensive experience as an actor, director, choreographer and teacher.  She is the Outreach Coordinator for Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre, where she also teaches classes in musical theatre and directs for the Education Department.  Jean holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Sam Houston State University.  Some of Jean’s favorite roles include the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio with The Media Theatre, Mae in Street Scene with the Des Moines Metro Opera, Laurey in Oklahoma!, and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  Later this season, Jean will return to the Kelsey stage to star as Agnes in the two-character musical comedy, I DO! I DO! a Kelsey Players production.
