Drama Desk Awards: Maria Irene Forne’s Promenade, Sam Shepard’s Operation Sidewinder, Jean Genet’s The Screens (New York Drama Critics’ Award). Obie Award: Robert Lowell’s The Old Glory. Emmy Award: Michael Smuin’s The Tempest. Other theatre credits: Tom Stoppard’s Jumpers, Edward Albee’s Malcolm, John Guare’s Lydie Breeze, Anthony Newley’s Chaplin, Long Day’s Journey Into Night starring Jack Lemmon. Ms. Kim has designed over 125 ballets, many operas, as well as television specials. Her ballets have been for The Feld Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Nederland Dans Theatre, National Ballet of Canada, Pennsylvania, and the Royal Ballet of Sweden, among others.
