Patricia E. Doherty Biography

made her New Jersey Repertory Company debut with Octet. Before coming to New Jersey, Patricia had designed costumes for the Cleveland Play House including productions of Boy Meets Girl with Alley McBeal’s Jane Kratkowski, and Only Kidding! with Daniel J. Travanti. For a number of years, she was resident costume designer at Houston's Alley Theatre, where she designed over twenty productions, most notably the US/Canadian tour of The Miracle Worker. Her other credits include designs for Blossom Music Festival -- Porthouse Theatre, Cleveland's Ensemble and Cain Park Theatres. In addition, she has taught master classes and designed for Kent State, Case Western Reserve, Syracuse and Ohio Universities. Other credits feature work for the series Unsolved Mysteries, make-up for Tommy Tune, and a television commercial promoting Cedar Point’s roller coaster "The Raptor." Ms. Doherty holds an M.F.A. in Costume Design from the Pennsylvania State University.
