returns to TheatreFest direct from a run as Matron Mama Morton in the National Touring Company of the hit revival of Bob Fosse's musical Chicago. Woods previously appeared at TheatreFest in 1992 in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, reprising a role she also played in London at the Royal National Theatre. More recent Broadway credits include the musical version of Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl, Smokey Joe's Cafe; Grind; Big River; Stepping Out, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas; The Crucible and A Little Hotel On The Side. She's also appeared on television in "Law and Order","Parenthood" and in the films "Stepping Out" with Liza Minelli "Night and the City"; "Joe's Apartments" and most recently "Cop Land" with Sylvester Stallone.
