Steve Harper Biography

is thrilled to return to Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre. He appeared in this season's reading of NAKED BY THE RIVER and directed the workshop of EXPERIMENTS several seasons ago. Other produced plays include ABSTRACT PURPLE (Baltimore Playwrights Festival), IGGIE IMAGINES MARRIAGE (at New York's John Houseman Studio), and OAKSMITH AND THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT (at Virginia's Fair Oaks Mall). In what seems like another life, Steve co‑wrote the screenplay for the martial arts film UNDEFEATABLE (Fox/Polygram Video). He co‑wrote and co‑produced THE FOX‑45 CLUBHOUSE, a children's show seen in the MidAtlantic states which he co‑hosted for two years. His full‑length play BLOOMINGTON FACES THE GOD was read in DRT's Meet The Artist series last season. Steve is a graduate of Yale, the A.R.T. Institute at Harvard, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild. Special thanks to Laura, Harry and Jeff for breathing new life into these characters and asking the tough questions.
