Rik Turner Biography

Rik Turner
s

appeared last season as the Reverend Lee in the Guild’s production of The Foreigner. His prior credits include Albert in Bye, Bye, Birdie. Rik is best known as the host of The Rik Turner Show, a Cable TV show that parodied Carson, Merv, and Letterman, with just a touch of Uncle Floyd. Rik won four Cable Ace Awards for Best Comedy/Variety Show as well as three Telly Awards. Preferring comedies, Rik was waiting for the Guild to produce a Neil Simon play, so he leaped at the chance to play Max Prince, a character closer to Rik in real life than he realized.
