Kevin Carolan appeared on Broadway in Dirty Blonde (by Claudia Shear, directed by James Lapine, nominated for five Tony awards), as “Charlie”, a role he understudied as well, in NY and on tour. He performed the role under Ethan McSweeney’s direction at the Wilma Theater in Philadelphia and at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, and under AC Weary's direction at Theatrefest with Kim Zimmer. He has appeared at many other New Jersey Theaters, including Summerfun and (again) Theatrefest in Montclair (where Kevin holds a BA in Theatre/Film Studies from Montclair State University), the Forum Theater, American Stage Company, Centenary Stage Company, three seasons with The Pushcart Players, and won the Newark Star Ledger’s Best Featured Actor in a Play in 1999. Kevin has also worked with the Tony Winning, world-renowned Bluegrass band The Red Clay Ramblers, and at theatres in North Carolina (Reynolds Theater, Duke University), Washington, D.C. (Ford’s Theater), and Connecticut (Goodspeed Opera House). Kevin has appeared on television with Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft on HBO’s Emmy-winning Curb Your Enthusiasm, on Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Spin City, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Late Show with David Letterman, and had a recurring role on NBC’s Trinity, produced by John Wells (Third Watch, The West Wing). He is featured in the upcoming 20th Century Fox film, Taxi, starring Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon, directed by Tim Story (Barbershop). Kevin has appeared in over 30 commercials, many shown nationally for products such as Wendy’s, Circuit City, Slim-Fast, and ESPNZone. He continues to develop his career in stand-up comedy on a regular basis at clubs in New York City. Kevin is also proud to be one the people caricatured by world famous theatre artist Al Hirschfeld.
