Kim Hunter began her venerable Broadway career as Stella Kowalski, opposite Marlon Brando, in "A Streetcar Named Desire", for which she won both Donaldson and Critics’ Awards. She later won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her reprisal of the role on film. She has performed extensively on Broadway, Off-Broadway and in regional theatre; in hundreds of television shows; and in numerous major motion pictures, including her memorable turn as Dr. Zira in the first three of the "Planet of the Apes" quintet and recent appearances in "A Price Above Rubies" and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". Ms. Hunter is currently shooting "Old Hat" with Ozzie Davis and James Whitmore, scheduled for release next year.
