Willie Weist Biography
s
has been involved in many aspects of performing since the age of eight. He attended Jersey City State College for Instrumental Jazz and can play a variety of instruments especially keyboards. At home Willie owns and operates the “Take 5” Recording Studio. He has acted as Music Director for Richard Nader’s Doo Wop program at the Garden and the Meadowlands and has worked with Wolfman Jack’s 50’s tour. He has spent time working in Las Vegas where he recorded an upcoming album, and more recently, he has spent much time setting, running sound, and touring with the Duprees. He still, however, finds time to be loyal to his friends and his hometown by helping out with sound for Roselle Catholic, Linden HS, and MVP. Willie was nominated for Best Sound Design by the NJ ACT Awards for Fiddler… and won in the same category for Nunsense
