As a young actor, Harlan appeared in several films and TV shows in NY and LA and had a recurring role in the Mr. Novak series with Burgess Meredith. In the interim he has been an active participant in local New Jersey theater as both an actor and director and has a 20+ year association with the Marlboro Players where he is presently serving as a trustee. His commericial activity includes industrial films for Post Cereals, Peer Med and Miles Laboratories, and radio ads for the Hemophilia Association and Lee Myles Transmissions (writer/actor). Most recently Harlan was acclaimed by The New York Times for his "superior performance in a variety of roles" in Find Me A Voice, also cited by Back Stage to be one of the three best Off-Broadway productions in 1997. He was also seen as Larry in NJ Rep's Dancing with Harry. He gives thanks to his loving, supportive wife Ann, and his family.
