A native of Honolulu, HI, Marian Akana is a graduate of Syracuse University.   As an actor/dancer, she has had the opportunity to portray men, women, and various animals. She appeared in the critically acclaimed New York production of Find Me A Voice as Christine and The Diarist, roles she originated in the workshop production. Other Off- and Off-Off-Broadway credits include Tartuffe, Down the Road, Macbeth, and Welcome to the Moon. In addition to theatrical work, she does voiceovers, industrials videos, and interactive murder mystery shows. She is the Drama Instructor for the Arts Access Program at the Matheny School and Hospital in Peapack, NJ. She is very pleased to be a founding member of the NJ Repertory Company, where she was seen in the staged readings of Horrors of Doctor Moreau, Dancing with Harry, Past Palpable and Remember Me, with Kim Hunter and Bob Emmett.
