Dana Benningfield has appeared off-Broadway and regionally at the John Houseman Theatre, Miranda Theatre, 78th Street Theatre Lab, Manhattan Class Company, Expanded Arts, Irish-American Theatre Company, New Jersey Repertory Company, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Dallas Theatre Center, Studio City Players (Los Angeles), Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey, and Shakespeare at Winedale (Austin). She was nominated “Best Featured Actress” -- New Jersey Theatre Season” by the Star-Ledger, and has received much critical praise for her work on stage. At NJ Rep, Dana has appeared in several mainstage productions including Winterizing the Summer House by Gino DiIorio. Sandra Perlman’s In Search of Red River Dog, and Mark Dunn's North Fork. In addition to originating roles in many new works, notable credits include Love Labor’s Lost (Rosaline), Hamlet (Ophelia), Richard II, (Queen Isabel), Twelfth Night (Feste and Viola), The Odd Couple – Female Version (Olive) and The Laramie Project (multiple roles), which was named one of the season’s ten best plays of New Jersey by the Star-Ledger. Her several film credits consist of roles as wide ranging as a drug addict in the indie film, A Deadly Mix, to the angelic heroine, Corey Ten Boom, in True Angel Stories. She recently completed work on the short “Redemption,” and is currently working on the short, “Bust,” as both writer and actor, which will be submitted to film festivals in 2004. In May and June, 2004, Dana Benningfield will be appearing in Mike Folie’s comedy Lemonade at the New Jersey Repertory Company (www.njrep.org) in Long Branch.
