Kitty has been an important figure in the theatre in Central New Jersey for the past twenty years. Beginning on staff at The Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College in 1978, Kitty was Production Stage Manager and Theatre Coordinator, and began teaching Introduction to Theatre as an adjunct faculty member.

In the summer months Kitty served as technical coordinator of Tomato Patch Workshops and lighting designer and director of the Tomato Patch Festival Performances.

In 1983 Kitty was recruited by The Washington Crossing Association of New Jersey to also assume the position of General Manager of The Open Air Theatre in the summer which reaches an audience of 18,000 in it's 12 week season, a role which she continued in for 19 years, happily turning it over to Mark Saxton this year
