Mark is thrilled to be back conducting for the Union County Arts Center after conducting February’s production of Fiddler on the Roof and 1997’s hit musical, La Cage Aux Folles. Recently, he toured with the World Premier musical Sophie, Totie & Belle, which he musically directed for both the original New York production and New Jersey Premier engagements. Regionally, he has musically directed shows for the Forum Theatre Group for the past five years, including Minnie’s Boys, Nunsense, I Do, I Do, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Cabaret and Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh! (two Forum productions and the 1996 tour). Mark has acted as rehearsal pianist, musical director and/or conductor for Broadway, Off- Broadway and Regional theaters across the country. Favorite professional/ New York credits include Cats, Chicago, How to Succeed..., Hysterical Blindness, Nunsense, and Sweet Charity. Mark was Associate Producer for the London musical, Durante (Ginger Rogers, Director; Jerry Saperstein, Producer), and served as Musical Director/pianist for the industrial If They Build It..., Comedy Tonight (workshop) and the World Premier of Child of the Universe, the environmental/educational musical, currently touring the US. Mark also conducted the 1996 Cable Awards ceremony, held at the Millennium Hotel in NYC. Recently, Mark was the Executive Producer of the video Met on the Net, an video about the Internet which garnered five distinguished awards, including the LCA (Life Communicators Association), the CINDY (Cinema in Industry film award), the International Academy of Communications Arts and Sciences Award and the New York Broadcasting Award.
